"I
use raku, stoneware and porcelain clay bodies. My work is concentrated
on two types of firings: raku (low fire) and high fire reduction work in
my gas kiln. I respond to each type of firing with different shapes and
surface treatments. I am generally interested in a rich surface glaze
effects which incorporate elements of drawing and painting with glaze
materials."
